Lessons of Self-Compassion
Tessa believes anything is possible. After being diagnosed with Major Depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Rheumatoid Arthritis, she discovered healing and feeling whole again is possible and that the mind body connection is real.

Life experience has been the best education on how to heal. As a result of Tessa's struggles with Compassion Fatigue and Secondary Trauma, she feels passionate about supporting others that are prone to this systemic issue and hopes to share her healing as a possible roadmap for others.

She is also a member of the LGBTQIA population and identifies as human first. She encourages and offers space for clients to explore and express themselves. She believes we all know who we are deep down inside but that often times the world around us tries to convince us otherwise.
Tessa provides the safest space possible. She recognizes that finding inherent worth for herself involved finding a coherent heart; a compassionate, nonjudgemental sacred space.

What this experience taught her is the best gift she can give the world; the best service is to be who she is and to help others find the courage to do the same. Finding the stages of self-knowledge, self-acceptance, self-compassion and the love of life is a delicate process that she could not have done alone.

She feels honored to be a part of this process of self-discovery, healing, and transformation and believes in the magic of changing your mind, changing your body, and changing your life.

Mind-Body Bridging is a mind-body medicine approach to healing. This neuroscience-based mindfulness tool is powerful, scientifically based, and incredibly simple and effective. Mind-Body Bridging (MBB) is an internationally recognized clinical and psycho-educational modality, developed by Dr. Stanley H. Block, that optimizes health, wellness, and human performance. Dr. Block, knowing well humanity's suffering boldly proclaims: “You and the world are not broken!”

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping) "psychological acupressure" Many randomized controlled trials (RCT) of EFT have shown that it is extremely effective at treating PTSD in just a few treatment sessions. In one clinical trial, veterans’ symptoms dropped by 64% after just 6 hourlong sessions (Church, Hawk, et al., 2013). A replication of that study found that 90% of veterans were free of clinical symptom levels after completing treatment and that they did not relapse later (Geronilla et al., 2016).
Tessa blends mindfulness, energy psychology, creative expression and the wisdom of neuroscience as a means to explore the mind, body, and spirit. She received specialized art therapy training from Pamela Hayes, a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist and often utilizes various mediums of creativity with the process of self-exploration including painting, writing, drawing, and other means of expressing oneself.
